A place for modern industry set within an 1800s warehouse

The Bonded Warehouse has been redesigned and reconfigured to be an enterprise hub for small to medium sized businesses. It epitomises the heritage of St. John’s and reflects the industrial past of the city – coming back to life as a new workspace and leisure destination for Manchester.

Containing six levels of workspaces, studios, retail spaces and tailored event spaces, the Bonded Warehouse is set to come to life for both occupiers and visitors alike. The bustling lower levels will be the heartbeat of the building with cafes, shops and restaurants fusing together with the creative studios, co-working spaces and activity of the event zones to create an inspiring environment of creativity and artistic imagination.

Originally constructed in the 1860s, it was a terminus linking Manchester and Liverpool, bringing in goods and materials such as tobacco, alcohol and timber. It’s a building with a wealth of historic features and heritage, a place that will now become a central part of the new Enterprise City community at St. John’s, Manchester’s newest city centre neighbourhood.
